Hans recently found his old Asahi Pentax analog camera kicking around, the roll of film still inside, full of undeveloped pictures.Curious to see what long lost memories would be stored on film, we took the film to the lab.The film came back and so did our memories.Like this one: the Massive recording session for the score of the award winning film Enigma, starring Kate Winslet. The year is 2001. The conductor and composer is the legendary John Barry, best known for his work in James Bond. He is on stage conducting one of the best orchestras in the world: The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, in their own, equally acclaimed concert call: the Concertgebouw. Production by Hans Brouwer and Diederik van Middelkoop for MassiveMusic. What a delightful reminder that Massive was always Massive, even as a 1 year old.

We’ve paired ING Nederland with the right artists for their last 2 campaigns. Thanks to a positive response we’ve been asked to help with another ING film, this one in the spirit of the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. We tapped Kraak & Smaak for a special piece with a Brazilian touch. Being known for their fresh approach to funk and world-music they were the perfect fuel to add to the spark of early football-excitement.

DDB NY has launched an interesting and important project to help save the 400 Sumatran tigers that are facing extinction. The Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute partnered with indie rock band Portugal. The Man, bringing science and music together to distribute a song written for the project titled “Sumatran Tiger”. The song was lathe-cut onto 400 custom poly-carbonate records designed to degrade after a certain amount of plays. There are no other copies of the song in existence. The records were sent to 400 participants who were asked to digitize and share the song through their social channels.

The song will go extinct unless it’s digitally reproduced. The Sumatran tiger will go extinct unless we take action.

We are proud to have been sent #385 and share our copy with you hoping you will pass it forward and help the remaining Sumatran tigers.

Listen and share our copy of the #EndangeredSong on Soundcloud:

    Feeling Good →
For the latest KPN campaign, we were asked to re-interpret “Feeling Good”, a 1964 musical classic and made famous by Nina Simone, in various interpretations that all come together in a seamless blend.
This kind of brief is never easy, but we’re happy to report - the end result feels damn good.
